OMAHA, Neb., March 19, 2026 – Scooter’s Coffee franchise owners and store managers assembled approximately 500 hygiene kits to support Youth Emergency Services (YES), an Omaha-based nonprofit dedicated to assisting homeless and near-homeless youth.

Each kit includes personal care items, feminine hygiene products, and cleaning supplies, addressing the immediate needs of the youth served by YES. The kits were assembled this week at the Scooter’s Coffee Conference, an annual company gathering at CHI Health Center Omaha that brings together franchise owners and their teams from more than 30 states nationwide.

“With 900 stores comes 900 stories of how franchise owners are getting involved in their communities every day,” said Joe Thornton, Scooter’s Coffee CEO. “True to our core value of LOVE, our franchise owners do an amazing job opening their hearts to support local families in need and giving back to organizations that make an impact in their communities. This partnership with YES is one way that we, as a franchise system, can give back to the Omaha community where Scooter’s Coffee first began.”

YES provides housing and support services to youth experiencing instability, crisis, and homelessness. The non-profit collaborates with local agencies to help youth and young adults break the cycle of homelessness by establishing stability and achieving self-sufficiency.

“We are incredibly grateful to the team members at Scooter’s Coffee for building snack and hygiene kits for youth in our community,” said YES Executive Director Kalisha Reed. “These essentials help restore a sense of stability for young people facing uncertainty, and we are thankful for partners like Scooter’s Coffee who make that support possible.”

Scooter’s Coffee franchisees nationwide support a wide range of causes in their own communities such as families enduring hardship, areas cleaning up after natural disasters, animal shelters and rescues, and more. This collaboration with YES is not only an opportunity for Scooter’s Coffee franchise owners and team members to give back to the Omaha community, but also a way for them to leave the conference inspired to make an impact in the communities they serve.
